The Adventures of Captain Underpants - The First Epic Novel by Dav Pilky

 George Beard and Harold Hutchins are the best of friends. They live next door to each other. They are in the same fourth grade class at elementary school. They amazingly created Captain Underpants, using the power of hypnosis - WOW!



Throughout the story Captain Underpants, superhero, has many epic adventures. My favourite part of the story is when two robots break out of a rare crystal shop with a diamond. They also happen to be driving a van with Captain Underpants's cape caught at the back corner and George and Harold holding on to his feet, while speeding on skate boards. I liked this part of the story because it was EXTREMELY funny!

Captain underpants is a comedy, fantasy, action chapter book with illustrations.

The One and Only Ivan! By Katherine Applegate

 If you love stories with friendship, bravery and amazing animals then you would want to read this one! Ivan is a silverback gorilla that lives in a mall at Exit 8. All day Ivan sits in his domain and watches TV or eats bananas. Ivan's best friends are an elephant called Stella and a street dog called Bob. Half way in the story a little elephant comes and joins Ivan, Stella and Bob. Her name is Ruby. One night Stella's leg was hurting and made Ivan promise to take care of Ruby and find her a better home.

This is an amazing book that I could read a million times. I give this book five stars!
